Follow Up Burn Clinic

The outpatient burn clinic, as a support for the community, assesses and treats patients (referred by emergency departments, doctor's offices, and public health units) on an as-need basis. Patients discharged from the Burn Unit are also monitored on a week by week basis.
Multi-disciplinary assessment of wounds and functional abilities offered at the Clinic can act as community support and provide clinical research. When coupled with an ongoing team approach, the research gained by long-term patient tracking ensures optimum patient care.
