Bathing - Wound Care Management


Daily.

If the patient is stable, tub-bathing can be combined with wound cleansing. Elevate the involved area:

Water temperature must not exceed 37 degrees celsius maximum. As patients have an altered temperature regulation. Geriatric and pediatric patients require special care.

If the patient is not stable, bedbathing is required. AVOID CHILLING THE PATIENT.
